Friendly easy-going camp. Kid- and family-friendly button-making and temporary tattoos most mornings. Afternoons offer opportunity to officially divorce an unwanted playa name. Afternoons also offer various adult oriented activities with topics including Shibari rope suspension to presentations on increasing enjoyment of fellatio for both givers and receivers. Someone friendly is hanging out in our street-side shade structure most all the time. Stop in and say “hi!”

San Marco Square
A camp of creators and community, named after Venice’s most famous public square, this is the kind of place you stumble into and then forget to leave. Come up to the Sky Bar, a fully built out cocktail lounge that hydraulically rises 15 to 20 feet above the playa, for a gifted drink and a view of Black Rock City that does not exist anywhere else. On the ground, a sprawling shaded plaza hosts daily DJ sets, aerial silks performances, and a community pole that is always open and always going. Bring your whole self, leave your wallet at home.

We’re open from 9 PM until we feel like it. It’s a pirate-themed coffee bar serving strong black coffee. No milk, no sugar, maybe alcohol. Just bold coffee and a lot of laughs. Our pirate crew runs silly games and keeps the crowd entertained. Outside, two loud pirates with bullhorns heckle and lure people in. It’s weird, playful, and a great late-night stop. Come grab a cup and join the chfunaos.
Secret Passage
Hosts Fluffy’s Cafe of Games: 10am-10pm Mon-Sat. Infused waters, cotton candy, comfy seating, tabletop and interactive games. Hosted game show daily: Fluffy’s Feud! Shamandome
Since 2008, Shamandome Camp has introduced the citizens of Black Rock City to Core Shamanism as described by Michael Harner and offered shamanic healing, reawakening burners to their rightful spiritual relationship with all nature. The sound of a single drum beating at 185 bpm puts you into an Altered State of Consciousness (ASC), allowing you to journey to the Lower World, where you can meet your Power Animal, get answers, heal yourself, and help other heal themselves. You can do this because you’re human. It is your connection to Mother Earth.

Take it to “Sexy Treads” sustainability station and convert it into fabulous fetish wear! Tools, supplies, and examples (and more flat tubes) are on-hand to create a sexy, strappy harness!

A veteran group of Burning Man friends that have gathered over the years. We have been on many adventures across the world to Rejoice in the wondrous village that is created annually in the high desert dry lake bed.

Skyhorse Carousel
An amusement ride and a piece of art which celebrates human culture and cosmology from ancient to modern times, creating an experience with aspects of both art and play. The horses of the carousel are painted like figures from myth and legend that relate to the sky, bearing, guiding, and embodying the Sun, Moon, and stars for mortal civilization down below. You might spy one of the fiery steeds from Apollo’s solar chariot, the Jade Rabbit in the Moon, or even the Paiute Bighorn who became the North Star. So come take a ride through the sky yourself, and recapture some of the magic and simple delight of childhood.

Step up to a familiar machine that offers something extraordinary. This ATM does not dispense money, but stories. Speak a memory, a longing, or a truth, and receive a small printed story shaped from your words. Come withdraw something you cannot buy.
Sobremesa
People arrive for a drink or a taco and somehow stay for hours. Inspired by the Mexican tradition of the sobremesa, this camp recreates that moment after the meal when conversation, music, and laughter keep the table alive. Expect a cozy lounge, tacos from the comal, a communal table that sometimes becomes a dance floor, and plenty of late-night carajillos. Come sit, share stories with strangers, and linger a little longer than you planned.
Society for Temporal Preservation
The Society for Temporal Preservation consists of time travelers tasked with preserving the fabric of spacetime. Space time is like a cat though, it takes care of itself. This is good, because now we can leave a bowl of food out and ignore it while we visit Black Rock City. We serve as ambassadors of the temporally free, working to introduce Black Rock City to the magic (science) of time travel.
Our goals include:
– Exposing burners to the wonders (AND HORRORS!) of time travel
– Instilling a sense of hope and responsibility in regards to an individual’s place in time
– Getting the anti-matter out of the carpet. That stuff is STICKY

SOLARPUNKS
We are a collective of creatives and applied technologists harnessing the power of the sun to fuel our festivities – and yours. SOLAR STATION is our gift to Black Rock City: a utility-scale clean energy power plant providing free solar energy 24 hours a day to charge theme camps, mutant vehicles, e-bikes, art support, phones, batteries, and more. Think of it as the clean energy counterpart to Hell Station – renewable electrons instead of diesel. Beyond the juice, SOLAR STATION is a proof of concept that decentralized clean energy can power real communities in the most demanding environments on earth – from the playa to disaster zones to cities everywhere. Word travels about a Pirate port on Esplanade, a place the SophistaPirates built when they decided to make something worth staying for.
During the day, it’s a place to settle in: shaded lounges, games at Kracken’s Trap, a stop at Captain Cooks, and stories shared at the Thirsty Pearl.
But it doesn’t stay quiet for long.

Visitors are invited to step into a creative space where they can slow down, explore, and take part in collaborative art. At the center of the camp is a large drawing installation that evolves throughout the week as participants add marks, gestures, and symbols to a shared canvas. Guided meditation to drawing sessions and informal conversations invite people to explore ideas around art, music, storytelling, and imagination. Anyone can join in, regardless of artistic experience, and contribute to the artwork as it grows over the course of the week.

Square One
A diverse group united in creating large-scale art through efficient and sustainable designs, inspiring individuals and other camps to burn stronger. Our efficiency-driven approach allows us to contribute more to the community. We modify and use Burning Man?centric shipping containers for our camp activities, including the B&B BBQ and our 35-foot hammock Nest tower. We operate two large art cars: Sparky (Hot Sauce) and Eden. We also provide logistical and power support for various playa art projects.
Squeeze the Day
A refreshing oasis of “Ice Cold Liquid Sunshine” on the playa! Since 2016, we’ve been inviting passersby to pause for a chat & a shot of homemade limoncello. Our camp is simple: good people, tasty pours, and real connection where strangers become friends in the dust. We’re also the artists behind the Serendipity Machine, an interactive art installation designed to spark meaningful encounters on the playa. Small in size but big in heart, we exist to spread warmth, wonder and a little unexpected magic.
Stag Camp
We invite anyone and everyone (drama-free), including singles, couples, and small groups from all walks of life. We have no strict regimen of things to do or fees to pay. Everyone contributes as much as they like, with radical self-reliance a camp cornerstone. If you’re looking for shared showers, meal plans, kitchen shifts, etc., we’re not the spot for you. We all just come and hang out, creating a community among ourselves that is unique, fun, and will be whatever you make of it!

Serving top-shelf, neighborly vibes, Stoop is a place where you belong. Our art is hosting. Welcome home! We’ve created a place for neighbors to gather, share stories, express their art, and make new friends while sipping a delicious cocktail and eating a grilled cheese, blueberry pancake, or whatever we’ve got going on the grill.

Stoop City captures the magic of a fever dream spent wandering the streets of Black Rock City. Storytime Friends
Storytime and Dreamtime co-create magic. Storytime is a larger-than-life Tiffany’s banker’s lamp, building community through the magic of storytelling and reading aloud across the playa. Pick up a book, sit in a circle, and read to friends new and old. Lie back, listen, and watch the stained-glass lampshade slowly change overhead. Share your own stories, or create a new one together. Storytime is a stage for reading and connection, and a comfortable retreat from the noise, throughout the city and in deep playa.

Suburbia
We are putting our efforts into bringing that same tacky suburban culture to Black Rock City. New and old burners will be able to see one of the most disgusting/ugly parts of society in the urban sprawl of the ‘default world’ displayed in a beautiful and enjoyable way. From the moment someone spots Suburbia, they will see a typical suburban neighborhood, but the with Burning Man principles close to heart. We hope that through this subverted lens, participants will appreciate Black Rock City for more than an escapism from their daily lives, but also an opportunity to encompass the Burning Man principles into their everyday lives when they return to the ‘default world’.
Sundowners
“Sundowners” comes from a South African friendship ritual we host Monday to Friday at sunset. A safari themed art car and a South African shebeen speakeasy anchor our public offering, alongside dance and cultural programming rooted in music, movement, and social exchange. Our creative center is Afrofuturism, imagining a positive and inclusive future through speculative art and technology, reflecting the diverse backgrounds and practices of our community. We see Burning Man, as the planet’s largest temporary city, as a fitting context for this expression.
